Flying

The Night Rating training is a mix of the competency-based and skill-based training lasting approximately 2 hour, with minimum at least 2 night flights. The two night balloon training flights stipulated in point BFCL.210(b) constitute the minimum amount of training needed in the case of experienced balloon pilots. The balloon instructor may conduct additional night training flights, as necessary for you to acquire the competence needed for night flying in balloon.
