TRI CL30 Type Extension Overview

The TRI type extension training program is tailored to your previous experience. It consists of the relevant parts of the initial TRI CL30 training course. The TRI CL30 type extension training has to be relevant to its purpose. So we will avoid long-lasting training resulting in washback . When setting up the training we are taking into consideration your experience on other aircraft types that are similar to the CL30.

The CL30 TRI type extension training course consists of three parts:

• Technical theoretical knowledge instruction (Technical training);
• Flight instruction in CL30 simulator

The CL30 TRI type extension training is followed by the TRI AoC with EASA CL30 TRE.

Briefing

The duration of TRI type extension technical training is individual and corresponds your previous experience. It is the on-job-training where your technical knowledge meets your teaching competences. You will develop the competences in preparation of lesson plans and in providing the classroom instruction. The technical training is also integrated into the flight instruction lessons constituted into Part 3 by using expanded preflight and postflight briefing sessions.

Privileges

Upon the training completion you will be holding fully mature TRI with privileges to teach towards CL30 type. The privileges obtained by competency-based TRI training compared to the long-lasting ab-initio TRI training are the same.

You can work on your TRI privileges and expand them further. Your next step should be either to extend your TRI CL30 privileges to LIFUS or Base Training, or to reach the first milestone.
