Once the B737 300 - 900 type rating is expired you have to comply with FCL.740(b) under the EASA system. The B737 300 - 900 renewal procedure requires to attend the refresher training in ProfiPilot Training. The objective of the B737 renewal course is to brush-up your type-related skills and gain-back the proficiency. The aim is to reach the level of proficiency required to safely operate the particular variant of Boeing 737 under the normal and abnormal situations. In some special cases the B737 Refresher training is not required. It might however take a bit longer than previously expected - depending on your background, experience and time lapsed since the last flight on the Boeing 737. 

 Once you have held the type rating in the past, it is possible to renew your typerating with competency-based approach even after many years.

The renewal training is followed by the B737 proficiency check with a B737 TRE.

Assessment

The amount of refresher training needed to meet the the level of proficiency necessary to safely operate the Boeing 737 variant will be determined on a case by case basis by ProfiPilot Training, taking into account the following factors:

• your experience;
• the amount of time elapsed since the privileges of the B737 300 - 900 type rating were last used;
• the complexity of and experience with the variant used for refresher training;

Taking into account above mentioned factors we may also decide that you already possesses the required level of proficiency and that no refresher training is necessary. The B737 refresher training is competency-based training. It means we build on your competences and experiences to bring you back on the line, whatever they are.

Completion

After successful completion of the B737 refresher,  ProfiPilot Training will issue the course completion certificate which describes the evaluation of your experience and the refresher training received, as well as a statement that your refresher training was successfully completed. The document serves as the recommendation for the B737 with a Boeing 737 TRE.

We will preferably use our own staff examiners - TRE and SFE B737 300 - 900 for the purpose of your renewal LPC.
