Overview

CL30 Renewal overview

Once your CL30 type rating becomes expired you have to comply with FCL.740(b). The CL30 renewal procedure requires to attend the refresher training in ProfiPilot Training to brush-up your CL30 skills and gain-back the proficiency. The aim is to reach the level of proficiency to safely operate the particular variant of Challenger 300/350/3500 under normal and abnormal operations.

The training is followed by the CL30 proficiency check with a CL30 TRE.

It is important to mention that there is no maximum time in which the CL30 type rating has to be renewed. It means once you have held the type rating, the renewal training will always be possible even after 20 years.

Concept

The amount of refresher training needed to meet the the level of proficiency necessary to safely operate the CL30 variant will be determined on a case by case basis by ProfiPilot Training, taking into account the following factors:

• your experience;
• the amount of time elapsed since the privileges of the CL30 type rating were last used;
• the complexity of and experience with the variant used for refresher training;

Taking into account above mentioned factors we may also decide that you already possesses the required level of proficiency and that no refresher training is necessary.

Completion

After successful completion of the CL30 refresher,  ProfiPilot Training will issue the training completion certificate which describes the evaluation of your experience and the refresher training received, as well as a statement that the training was successfully completed. The document serves as the recommendation for the CL30 with a CL30 TRE.

We will preferably use our own staff examiners - TRE CL30 for the purpose of your renewal LPC.
