Cessna 525 MPO Renewal overview

Once your C525 MPO type rating becomes expired you have to follow the requirements of FCL.740(b). The C525 MPO renewal procedure requires to attend the refresher training in ProfiPilot Training to brush-up your Cessna 525 type-related skills and get-back the proficiency. The aim is you to reach the level of proficiency to safely operate the particular Cessna 525 variant under normal and abnormal operations including the elements identified by EASA as Training Areas of Special Emphasis. In some cases the C525 Refresher training is not required, however it also might take a bit longer - depending on your experience and time lapsed since the last flight on the C525 variant. Due to the variety of the Cessna 525 variants and major differences across the family, we pay the careful attention to your overall experience, your recent experience and the variant you wish to fly the Cessna 525 in the future.

The training is followed by the Cessna 525 proficiency check with a C525 TRE.

It is important to mention that there is no maximum time in which the C525 type rating has to be renewed. It means once you have held the type rating and flew any variant of Cessna Citation constituting into C525 common endorsement, the renewal training will always be possible.

Refresher

The amount of C525 MPO refresher training required to meet the the level of proficiency necessary to safely operate the Cessna 525 variant will be determined on a case by case basis by ProfiPilot Training, taking into account the following factors:

• your experience;
• the amount of time elapsed since the privileges of the C525 type rating were last used;
• the complexity of and experience with the variant used for refresher training;

Taking into account above mentioned factors we may also decide that you already possesses the required level of proficiency and that no refresher training is necessary.

Completion

Upon successful completion of the C525 MPO refresher,  ProfiPilot Training will issue the training Course completion certificate which describes the evaluation of your experience and the refresher training received. The document serves as the recommendation for theCessna 525 proficiency check with a C525 TRE.

We will preferably use our own staff examiners - C525 TRE for the purpose of your renewal C525 LPC.
