Private Pilot Licence

The aim of the Private Pilot Licence training course is to provide theoretical knowledge instruction and flight training up to the standards required for a PPL(A) holders. For future leisure pilots the Private Pilot Licence training is ideal training to take. Besides being issued in accordance with EASA standards, the PPL(A) also complies with international ICAO standards. Thus it is recognized abroad and transferable to other licensing systems such as FAA.

Choose PPL(A) training if you:

• want to become a leisure pilot
• want to progress your leisure pilot path into further in the future
• want to become a professional pilot in the future

For future professional pilots, the PPL(A) training is a very first step into the Frozen ATPL training path. By obtaining the PPL(A) you can expand your privileges further by adding so-called modules into your license.

PPL(A) privileges

Your PPL(A) privileges also covering all privileges of "lower" LAPL(A) licence. The privileges of the PPL(A) are to act without remuneration as pilot-in-command or co-pilot of aeroplanes or TMGs engaged in non-commercial operations.

You may receive remuneration provided you are an instrucotr or examiner for:

•  the provision of flight instruction for the LAPL(A) or PPL(A);
• the conduct of skill tests and proficiency checks for the LAPL(A) or PPL(A) licences;
• the flight training, testing and checking for the class ratings or instructor certificates attached to this licence.

Revalidation of PPL(A)

It is necessary to mention that the PPL(A) itself is valid permanently. It stays valid along with other limiting elements. So if you keep valid following, your PPL(A) stays valid as well.

• Medical certificate (usually valid between 6 month up to 5 years)
• Class Rating (usually valid 1 year - e.g. MEP Land or 2 years for SEP Land)
