History of ProfiPilot Training

The Year We Took Off

2025 marked the official commercial launch of ProfiPilot Training, transforming long-lasting strategic preparation into active operations and delivering training excellence to clients across multiple sectors. Throughout the year, we successfully conducted several FI/IRI/CRI refreshers and TRI refresher seminars, reinforcing instructional standards and regulatory compliance at the highest professional level. In business aviation, our Head of Training, Capt. Milan Mazanovský completed several Challenger 3500 base trainings directly on the clients’ aircraft, as well as CJ4 Gen2 differences trainings, demonstrating our flexibility, client-focused approach, and capability to deliver demanding and tailored training solutions worldwide.

In general aviation, 2025 also became a year of strategic investment and long-term vision. To further strengthen our ab-initio portfolio — including PPL, LAPL, FI, CPL and additional foundational programs — we made the decision to acquire the DA-20 Katana with registration of OM-WOW. This investment underscores our commitment to quality, performance, and the continuous development of future aviation professionals.

Expanding Horizons. Defining Standards.

We are progressing through an extensive and long-lasting certification process, marking a significant phase in our strategic development. This advancement strengthens our position as a comprehensive aviation training provider, with approved capabilities expanding across all core and ab-initio programs, including PPL, LAPL, CPL, and FI. These foundational courses establish the highest professional standards while preparing the next generation of aviation leisure pilots as well as professionals with precision and excellence.

In parallel, we are further elevating our portfolio through specialized, category-specific training programs for hot-air balloon trainings, reinforcing our commitment to both traditional and highly specialized segments of aviation. Purchase of  BB26 represents more than an aircraft purchase — it reflects our long-term commitment to specialized aviation sectors, operational excellence, and the continuous expansion of our training portfolio across all categories of flight.

A defining milestone was achieved in August 2024 with the largest training scope extension in our history, introducing full training capabilities for the Challenger 300 series, CRJ Series, Boeing 737 300–900, and Cessna 525 series. This expansion represents a decisive step toward delivering a truly comprehensive, multi-category training environment aligned with the highest international standards.

Certified Ambition. Unmatched Capability.

In early 2023 we passed annual CAA audit with no findings. The Compliance monitoring and Safety Management departments were taken-over by our colleague, Oliver.

Just before the end of the year, we have submitted all our remaining typerating training programs for review. This consists of all possible trainings for Cessna 525 Citation series, Boeing 737 Series and Challenger 300/350 trainings. Our application  includes TRI, SFI and differences trainings.

Additional trainings on our capability list

The patience and hard work paid off. In September 2022, the scope of our training capability list has been extended in total to 24 trainings. As a part of the ongoing certification, we are still working on new training programs to be able to provide the full scope of the aeroplane trainings.

Shaping the Future of Flight Training

The development of the EASA training programs is ongoing. We are working hard on the instrument rating trainings, freshly introduced Basic Instrument rating as well as the typerating for the CRJ Series. In August 2021, we have launched another websites to support the services of ProfiPilot Training. Now you can find up-to-date information published at www.flight-examiner.com, www.senior-examiner.com, www.type-examiner.com and www.type-instructor.com  Sad news came during the COVD-19 pandemics period. In early November 2021 Captain Shabaan took-off for his last journey. Our grey hair, recognized aviation professional, retired captain and senior examiner lost his battle with serious illness before we could run the flight school together.

ProfiPilot Training becomes an EASA ATO

Year of 2020 was truly challenge for the whole industry. Before the COVID-19 pandemic closed the world, we became EASA certified Approved Training Organisation as SK.ATO.15.

In February 2020, we have celebrated our first milestone. We oficially became EASA - certified ATO. The certificate id SK.ATO.15 has been issued by the Transport Authority of Slovak Republic. As of now, we are authorized to provide modular and distance learning theoretical knowledge instruction courses for ATPL (A/H), CPL(A/H), IR(H/A), CB-IR(A/H) and EIR(A).

In the July 2020, we have applied for an extension of our ATO training scope. In total, 38 trainings has been applied for including instructor trainings, type ratings, instrument ratings and many more.
