IR ME training overview
EASA Instrument Rating Multi Engine modular training course consists of two instrument modules for a total of 55 flight hours if you are not Commercial Pilot License – CPL(A) holder, yet or 45 hours if you are already a CPL(A) holder. So-called Basic instrument flight module and Procedural instrument flight module are complementary to each other. All is flown in multi-engine aeroplane constituting into the MEP(land) class rating.
The EASA Instrument Rating training is followed by the IR Skill test with EASA Instrument Rating Examiner. The validity of the multi-engine Instrument Rating is 1 year. To revalidate your Instrument Rating you need to comply with FCL.625.IR(b).
