CB-IR(A) SE training overview
A single-engine competency-based instrument rating flight training course comprises of 40 hours instrument time under instruction, of which up to 25 hours may be in simulator. Up to 30 hours of flight training with instrument instructor may be credited towards the 40 hours. Thus as less as only 10 hours needs to be flown within ProfiPilot Academy to get your full EASA instrument rating for single-engine aeroplanes. The total amount of dual instrument flight training shall not be less than 25 hours, of which at least 10 hours shall be completed in a single-engine aeroplane.
The competency-based Instrument Rating training is followed by the IR Skill test with EASA Instrument Rating Examiner. The validity of the single-engine Instrument Rating is 1 year. To revalidate your Instrument Rating you need to comply with FCL.625.IR(b).
