The Cessna 525 Citation is a versatile light jet very popular because of its single-pilot operations capability. The specific training and checking is required for those pilots willing to operate the Cessna 525 under multi-pilot concept.

Overview

Cessna 525 Single-pilot to Multi-pilot Conversion

The aim of the Cessna 525 SPO to MPO conversion is to provide you with sufficient theoretical knowledge instruction and FSTD instruction to safely operate the respective variant of Cessna 525 Citation series under the multi-crew operational concept.

Due to limited amount of simulators representing the C525 variant, the single-pilot to multi-pilot conversion training is provided in simulators representing either CJ1+ or CJ3. 

The C525 single-pilot to multi-pilot conversion course consists of following parts:

  • 25:00 hours of MCC(A) related ground school (optional)
  • 10:00 hours of MCC(A) simulator training (optional)
  • 03:00 hours of general multi-crew concept (CRM) ground school
  • 04:00 hours of type-related FSTD training

The C525 SPO to MPO course is followed by partial proficiency check with an EASA C525 TRE or C525 SFE in simulator under multi-pilot operations.

Prerequisites

The training is provided for C525 MPO PIC only as the C525 SPO has the higher pre-entry requirements. Therefore you are expected to be able to operate the C525 as PIC under single-pilot operations.

Before being enrolled into the C525 single-pilot to multi-pilot conversion training course, you have to meet following requirements:

  • be a holder of valid Medical Certificate Class 1
  • For commander - be a holder 
    • EASA ATPL(A), 
    •  EASA CPL(A) with valid Instrument Rating and minimum of 500 hrs in aeroplane
  • have valid ATPL(A) theory credit or HPA theory course
  • Completed MCC(A) training or holds/has held a MP rating
  • completed the UPRT training course specified in point FCL.745.A, unless he complies with any of the following:
    • completed, within the preceding 3 years, the training and checking in accordance with points ORO.FC.220 and ORO.FC.230 of Annex III (Part-ORO) to Regulation (EU) No 965/2012, or
    • completed the training specified in point FCL.915(e)(1)(ii).

Theory

C525 SPO to MPO theoretical knowledge instruction or so-called ground school covers mainly non-technical aspects of the multi-pilot operations.Therefore the main profile subjects are distributed around Multi Pilot Cockpit resource management with link to the Cessna 525 operational concept. The duration of the SPO to MPO groundschool is 3 hours.

If you are missing MCC training we will provide you with basic MCC theoretical knowledge instruction prior the actual typerating ground school to meet the regulatory requirements. This will extend your groundschool by additional 25 hours.

Simulator

 

The simulator phase of the C525 SPO to MPO conversion training is 4 hours long. Trainng program carefully crafted by ProfiPilot Training contains the series of exercises related to the technical malfunctions and system degradation, where the solid multi-crew cooperation and CRM is required.

If you are missing the Multi-Crew Cooperation course, we will extend the training by 10 more hours to provide you with the MCC(A) course in the C525 simulator.
