ICAO to EASA Class Rating conversion
EASA established so-called class ratings as a common name for all the aircraft types that do not require the specific type rating. So-called SEP Land is an equivalent of SEL taken from FAA same like MEP Land is an equivalent of MEL. It means to enjoy flying as a pilot in let's say Cessna 152 you need so-called class rating SEP Land (single-engine piston Land). The class rating conversion is commonly used by European pilots who have an extensive experience as flight instructors, ferry pilots or even survey pilots on single-engine or multi-engine respectively.
