Bombardier CL65 TRI Type Extension

Competency-based TRI training ✔️

The TRI Type extension is the competency-based approach to the TRI training introduced by EASA back in 2020.The training program designed by the ProfiPilot Training allows us to give you significant credit for both theoretical and practical training. If you are already a Type Rating Instructor for any other type of an aircraft, this TRI competency-based training is the training of your choice. We will go straight to the point and avoid the long-lasting training. Our utmost effort is to teach you how to teach the pilots towards the CRJ series.

Overview

TRI CL65 Type Extension Overview

The TRI type extension training program is tailored to your previous experience. It consists of the relevant parts of the initial TRI CL65 training course. The TRI CL65 type extension training has to be relevant to its purpose. So we will avoid long-lasting training resulting in washback . When setting up the training we are taking into consideration your experience on other aircraft types that are similar to the CL65.

The CL65 TRI type extension training course consists of three parts:

  • Technical theoretical knowledge instruction (Technical training);
  • Flight instruction in CL65 simulator

The CL65 TRI type extension training is followed by the TRI AoC with EASA CL65 TRE.

Privileges

Upon the training completion you will be holding fully mature TRI with privileges to teach towards CL65 type. The privileges obtained by competency-based TRI training compared to the long-lasting ab-initio TRI training are the same.

You can work on your TRI privileges and expand them further. Your next step should be either to extend your TRI CL65 privileges to LIFUS or Base Training, or to reach the first milestone - to become certified to teach towards TRI by reaching 50 training hours in simulator.
