SEP(land) renewal overview
Once the SEP(land) class rating becomes expired you have to comply with FCL.740(b). The SEP(land) renewal procedure is simple and straight forward. You have to attend the refresher training in ProfiPilot Training to brush-up your SEP(land) skills and proficiency. The aim is to reach the level of proficiency to safely operate the SEP(land) aircraft. In some cases the SEP(land) Refresher training is not required, however it also might be longer than usual depending on your experience and time since last SEP(land) flight.
The SEP(land) refresher training is followed by the SEP(land) renewal proficiency check with an EASA Class Rating Examiner.
It is important to mention that there is no maximum time in which the SEP(land) class rating has to be renewed. It means once you have held it, the renewal training will always be possible even after 20 years expired.
