CPL(A) bridge course overview

As a holder of a Commercial Pilot Licence in another category of an aircraft you need to receive theoretical knowledge bridge instruction to the differences identified between the CPL syllabi for different aircraft categories. The duration of the CPL bridge course is 100 hours of the theoretical knowledge.

ProfiPilot Training utilizes both - the distance learning means of the instruction supplemented by the classroom instructor-led instruction. The CPL bridge course is followed by the CPL written exam in Exam Institute. 

Subjects

The CPL Bridge instruction covers following subjects:

• 021 – Aircraft general knowledge: airframe and systems, electrics, power plant and emergency equipment;
• 022 – Aircraft general knowledge: instrumentation;
• 030 – Performance;
• 070 – Operational procedures; and
• 080 – Principles of flight.

Follow up

Upon completion of your CPL theory, you need to complete your flying training to get your CPL in the particular category of an aircraft. The common practice is to complete those two trainings separately and commence your CPL flight training upon the completion of the written exams.

There is only one important date to remember. Theoretical knowledge exam certificate for the issue of a CPL is valid for a period of 36 months. It simply means you have to complete your CPL skill test latest 36 months after completion of your theoretical knowledge exam.
