CRI Renewal overview

Once the Class Rating Instructor is expired or you do not meet the criteria for re-validation you have to comply with FCL.940.CRI(c). The CRI refresher procedure is quite simple and straight forward. You simply have to attend the refresher training as a CRI at ProfiPilot Training. The CRI Refresher training can be as short as a short selfstudy, however it also might be considerably longer depending on the complexity and your experience. The CRI refresher training is followed bythe CRI assessment of competence with EASA Flight Instructor Examiner.

Theory

The CRI Refresher training needs to be tailored-made considering your previous experience. In most cases the groundschool part of the CRI Refresher consists of brush-up of your technical training skills combined with delivering some theoretical knowledge lessons towards the respective class. This is usually done as briefing or de-briefing of ProfiPilot Training trainees. There is very simple objective behind. We want you to brush-up your instructor competences and to pass the assessment of competence.

Completion

After successful completion of the CRI refresher training ProfiPilot Training will issue the training completion certificate which describes the evaluation of your experience and the refresher training received, as well as a statement that the training was successfully completed. The document serves as the recommendation for the CRI assessment of competence with EASA FIE(A). 

Upon successful completion of the CRI refresher training, awe will submit the training completion certificate to the competent authority which supervises your flight crew license.
