Upon completion of your CL30 typerating, your privileges are restricted to variant in which you passed your CL30 skill test. Due to the limited simulator portfolio the privileges are usually restricted to the Challenger 350. The differences training to Challenger 350 is usually required for the pilots who attended the CL30 typerating very long time ago and never flew a later variant ever since.
The aim of the Challenger 350 differences training course is to provide you with sufficient theoretical knowledge instruction to safely operate the Challenger 350 variant.

The Challenger 350 differences training course is followed by the LIFUS or so-called supervised operational experience.
Transition from Challenger 300 or Challenger 3500 to Challenger 350 is usually very simple and straight forward. Besides the windows and winglets , the main differences of Challenger 350 to Challenger 300 are major visual design changes visible at the first sight. The differences between Challenger 3500 and Challenger 350 are more related to the cabin and cockpit equipment.
Before being enrolled into the CL30 - Challenger 350 differences training, you have to meet following:
The differences training ground school lasts 3 hours. It is delivered by distance-learning means complemented by instructor-led classroom sessions. Differences training is set at Level C. Level C training requires that flight crews master the IFIS functions. As a minimum the crew should be trained to pull up the airport depiction charts, Departure Procedures, Arrival Procedures, and approach charts using the IFIS electronic chart function.

Upon completion of the familiarization the supervised operational experience or line flying under supervision might be required by the operator. In addition, the EASA CL30 OSD requires to use device for the differences training.ProfiPilot Training usually uses the aircraft of your operator for this purpose.
