Basic Instrument Rating Multi-Engine extension

BIR(A) SE extension to BIR(A) ME ✓

The Basic Instrument Flight module does not have minimum prescribed time. It opens the opportunities to the general aviation pilots and brings enhanced safety while flying longer cross-country flights. This module is often taken by aircraft owners flying with their family and business purposes.

Usually it is the case if you have been a holder of single-engine such as Cirrus SR22 and you have decided to make a transition to the multi-engine such as Diamond DA42. We will fly with you in your new aircraft and show you how to safely operate your new toy.

The Module 4 can be flown in multi-engine aeroplane, in simulator or by combination of both. The Module can be commenced outside but shall be completed at ProfiPilot Academy. The aim of the training will be to assess your proficiency in handling the multi-engine aeroplane and train you up to the required standards.

The Basic Instrument Rating course is followed by the BIR Skill test with EASA Instrument Rating Examiner.  The validity of the BIR is 1 year. To revalidate your BIR SE you need to comply with FCL.835.(g)(2).

Tailored

If you have started your BIR training outside of ProfiPilot Training with your friend as an instructor perhaps on your own multi-engine aeroplane we will have to complete respective modules with you.

We will simply have to make sure your flying is safe. Once completed, we will sign you off for a skill test.
