Before you start the training for multi-pilot operated aeroplane, you need to be a holder of the multi-crew cooperation certificate. You have to be a holder of MCC(A to fly both - the multi-pilot airliners such as Boeing 737 or Bombardier CRJ as well as single-pilot jets operated in multi-pilot operations such as Cessna 525

Overview

MCC(A) Training course overview

The aim of the objectives of MCC training are to develop the technical and non-technical components of the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to operate a multicrew aircraft. Training comprises both theoretical and practical elements and is designed to achieve the multi-crew competencies and training objectives. The FNPT II MCC or an FFS is used for initial MCC(A) course.

The initial MCC(A) training course consists of following parts:

  • 25 hours of theoretical knowledge instruction and exercises
  • 20 hours of practical MCC training.

Prerequisites

Before being enrolled into the MCC(A) training course, you have to meet following requirements:

  • be a holder of valid Instrument Rating for multi-engine aeroplanes
  • have valid ATPL(A) theory credit

Theory

Multi-crew cooperation theoretical knowledge instruction or so-called MCC groundschool lasts 25 hours and comprises of following subjects:

  • Communication
  • Monitoring and cross checking
  • Task sharing
  • Use of checklists
  • Briefings
  • Flight management FMS use
  • Systems normal operations
  • Systems abnormal and emergency operations
  • Environment, weather and ATC

Simulator

The simulator part of MCC(A) training course comprises of 25 hours of training in simulator focused on multi-crew cooperation related handling, procedures and system malfunctions. You will learn how to manage the engine faillure after take-off (EFATO), in-flight engine shutdown (IFESD) and how to manage complex system malfunctions in multi-crew environment.

The exercises are focused on following:

  • Normal operations 04:00 (2PF + 2PNF/PM)
  • Advanced IAP and emergency intro 04:00 (2PF + 2PNF/PM)
  • OEI operations and go-arounds 04:00 (2PF + 2PNF/PM)
  • Complex problems 04:00 (2PF + 2PNF/PM)
  • LOFT and course completion 04:00 (2PF + 2PNF/PM)

Completion

Multi-crew cooperation training course is completed by instructor review. Our Course Instructor is continuously evaluating your performance to work on your weak points. By the end of the MCC(A) coourse you will receive the Course Completion Certificate.
