There are ratings that will enhance the privileges of your license with very specific privileges. Those ratings usuall do not require the skill test with examiner, nor have the expiry date.
Those specific ratings are mainly:
- VFR Night rating for flying in night
- Aerobatics rating for flying an aeroplane with aerobatic maneouvers
- Sailplane and Banner towing rating to tow the banners or gliders
- BIfM to teach towards the Basic Instrument Rating
