Being a Type Rating Instructor or Synthetic Flight Instructor is a passion and a natural continuation of the career path of each true aviator. Teaching somebody to fly the specific aircraft type is a true challenge. On the top of the actual handling of the particular aircraft type, the Competency-based approach in combination with the skill-based training is an essential method of the instruction that the TRI or SFI must handle.

Teaching somebody to fly the particular aircraft type safely, is the most powerful weapon which you can use to make the aviation industry even safer for the future.

During the instructor development program, our senior instructors are putting special attention to TRI or SFI maturity and judgement including an understanding of adults, their behavioural attitudes and variable levels of education. We build together on your current competences making you more and more aware of your own role and attitude towards the importance of flight safety.

Everything you need to participate in TRI or SFI instructor development program is:

• knowledge of English
• vast experience in one of the types we offer the typerating training for
• hold, have held or meet the requirements to obtain the TRI or SFI for the applicable type

The Type Rating Instructor or Synthetic Flight Instructor development program is a true on-job training, so you are acting as a TRI or SFI in the simulator of the respective type of aricraft.  The duration of the instructor development program depends on your own time availability and your aim.

In general, the duration of the development program is as follows:

• 50 hours to obtain the privileges to teach towards the TRI or SFI and/or to apply for the type-related examiner privileges of TRE or SFE
• 3 years to obtain the type-related examiner privileges of TRE or SFE

As a recognised aviation professionals, our experienced senior instructor team, ProfiPilot Training developed our own flight instructor development program.

Everything you need to participate in flight instructor development program is:

• knowledge of English
• hold the valid EASA pilot licence with medical
• hold a valid flight instructor certificate

...and have a nice softskills in:

• be passionate for sharing
• willingness and ability to work on yourself
• pro-client oriented mind

The Flight instructor development program is an active on-job training, where you will be providing the training to our trainees under the comprehensive guidance and oversight of ProfiPilot Training senior instructor.

The duration of the flight instructor development program is split into 3 main phases. The duration of the instructor development program depends on your own time availability and your aim.

For Aeroplanes, there are generally 4 main phases:

• 100 hours as instructor for shifting the restriction
• 200 hours as instructor for providing the CPL trainings
• 500 hours as instructor for providing the instructor trianings
• Experience required for Flight Examiner certificates (250 - LAPL, 500 - PPL and 1000 - CPL skill tests)

For Balloons, there are generally 2 main phases:

• experience required for providing the instructor trainings
• experience required for becoming the Balloon Flight Examiner
