Teaching and learning course is usually taken by the future flight instructors, instrument instructors or type instructors who would like to commence their instructor career. Attending the teaching and learning is a great start of the instructor course. Attending the Teaching and learning is independent from the actual instructor course which could be started anytime later.

The teaching and learning module with ProfiPilot Training offers a comprehensive 3-day instructor training course specifically designed for pilots aiming to obtain an instructor rating.  3 days lasting teaching and learning course spans over 25 hours, and provide you with insight into the essential tools for your future role as a EASA aviation instructor

The Teaching and learning module is a soft-skill training focused on your pedagogic development. There is no written test, so the training is completed by getting the course completion certificate.

Overview

In ProfiPilot Training design our course to create powerful learning experiences, focusing on practical tools you can apply in your instructional career regardless of you being a sailplane, balloon, aeroplnaes or type rating instructor. We emphasize the critical role of human factors and Crew Resource Management in safety awareness, and threat and error management.

Content

 The Teaching and Learning module of the instructor training is called as Part 1 or instructor training core course and it is required by FCL.930.TRI(a)(1). The essence of the Teaching and learning module is about the Training philosophyand Fundamentals of instruction. The module is equal for all EASA instructor certificates. It means if you hold or have held any EASA instructor certificate we will credit the teaching and learning module in full.  The module consists of 25 hours of groundschool and covers following topics:

  • The learning and teaching process
  • Techniques of applied instruction and programme development
  • Training philosophies and Student evaluation and testing
  • Human performance and limitations relevant to flight instruction

Applicability

The teaching and learning module is valid infinitely. You only need to attend it once in a lifetime.

The certificate will credit 25 hours of each of the EASA instructor certificates  raining, nameily:

  • FI(A), FI(S), FI(B)
  • CRI
  • IRI(A), IRI(H)
  • TRI(A), TRI(H)
  • SFI(A), SFI(H)
