TRI B737 Type Extension Overview

The TRI type extension training program is adjusted to your previous experience. It consists of the relevant parts of the initial TRI Boeing 737 training course taking your previous instructional experience into careful consideration. We make the content of the TRI B737 type extension training relevant to its purpose. So we will avoid long-lasting training and theoretical brainwashing resulting in a quick washback.  We are taking into consideration your instructional and TRI experience when setting up the individual training.

The B737 TRI type extension training course consists of three parts:

• Technical theoretical knowledge instruction (Technical training);
• Flight instruction in simulator representing one of the B737 variants

The B737 TRI type extension training course is followed by the TRI AoC with EASA B737 TRE.

Briefings

The duration of TRI type extension technical training is individual and corresponds your previous experience. It is the on-job-training where your technical knowledge meets your teaching competences. You will be required to present your instructor competences during the preflight briefings and postflight debriefing under the careful guidenance of our skilled course instructor.

The TRI extension technical training is focused on type-related aspects and special events training rather than general aeronautical topics.

Certificate

Upon the training completion of the TRI B737 type extension course you will be holding fully mature Type Rating Instructor certificate with privileges to teach towards the B 737 300 - 900 type and its variants. The privileges of the TRI certificate obtained by competency-based type extension training compared to the long-lasting ab-initio TRI training are the same.

After extending your general TRI privileges to B737, you can work on extension of your TRI B737 privileges and expand them further. Your next step should be either to extend your TRI B737 300 - 900 privileges to LIFUS or to Landing Training. If you decide to walk the simulator instructor pathway, your first aim could also be to reach the first TRI milestone. To become certified to teach towards TRI B737 and SFI B737 by reaching 50 training hours in simulator.

If you don't hold the B737 typerating anymore nor you have the minimum sector recency requirement, you can still become the Boeing 737 Instructor by attending the B737 SFI type extension.
