Overview

ATPL(H) IFR theory course overview

The Airline Transport Pilot theoretical knowledge instruction course consists of approximately 650 hours of instruction. The aim of the course is to understand and apply the subject knowledge in order to be able to identify and manage threats and errors effectively and to meet the Area 100 KSA minimum standard.

ProfiPilot Training utilizes the distance learning means of the instruction supplemented by the classroom instructor-led instruction.

The ATPL(H) theoretical course is followed by the ATPL(H) written exam in Exam Institute.

Follow up

The ATPL(H) theory credit covers theoretical knowledge requirements for all EASA aeroplane flight crew licences and instrument rating. Once passed the theoretical knowledge examination for an airline transport pilot licence you will be credited with the theoretical knowledge requirements for the light aircraft pilot licence, the private pilot licence, the commercial pilot licence and instrument rating (helicopters).

Your ATPL theory credit stays valid for 36 months for the issue of a commercial pilot licence, instrument rating, counted from the day when you have successfully completed the theoretical knowledge examination. 

The completion of the airline transport pilot licence (ATPL) theoretical knowledge examinations will remain valid for the issue of an ATPL for a period of 7 years from the last validity date of a helicopter’s type rating entered in that licence.
